Q.Do you have a shop or are you Online Only?
A. Primarily Mitchkoi is an Online Business, however we do allow visits to our facility strictly by appointment ONLY available to serious buyer only. We list hundreds of Koi each months and the website is updated daily with new Koi, so there is a large selection to choose from.
Q.When can I expect my Koi order to arrive?
A. All koi are dispatched on an overnight courier service guaranteed before 12noon next day. we ask for you to contact us once you receive the koi to make sure they have arrived safely and more importantly, you happy with your koi purchase from Mitchkoi.
Q.Can you hold my Koi until spring or when my pond warms up?
A. Yes we can, this is something we did last year and proved to be very successful. It is to give you the opportunity to purchase quality koi once they arrive from the Autumn harvest, always a great time to choose you Koi. Then if you require us to hold your koi purchases until suitable temperatures in your pond we will again offer this service FREE.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. No unfortunately we now only ship koi to the UK mainland. All other products can be sent internationally but please ask for prices of shipping.
Q. What is KHV?
A. KHV (Koi Herpes Virus) is a virus affecting just carp including Koi. This is a world wide virus and is activated by temperature, there is no cure, your koi could die. Mitchkoi supply Koi Vaccinated against the Virus. Magnoy Koi Farms in Israel are the ONLY country in the World to Vaccinate against KHV. Our stocks are KHV FREE
Q. What does Hand-Selected really mean?
A. Mitchkoi travel to Israel several times a year to personally select our Koi Stocks, choosing only the finest Koi available, this process is called Hand-Selecting. You should be able to tell the difference between the quality of our Koi to others. Take a close look and you choose.
Q. Do you Quarantine all your Koi?
A.Yes we do, Mitchkoi will pick-up newly arrived koi stocks directly from the airport, and once back at our heated facilty the koi will be rested and fully quarantined, only being sold once we are happy that all fish are fit and healthly.
Q. Can I mix Japanese and Isreali Koi together in my pond?

Q. Japanese or Isreali which one do I buy?
A. Japan is still the source for consistent top quality koi (even though there is such a thing as an average Japanese koi) and it enjoys many generations of breeders who specialise and excel in specific varieties. Nevertheless, I still believe that you must judge every koi you see on its physical merits and buy accordingly irrespective of its orgin.
